DANVONIQUE ROYALE BLETSON-REED

DanVonique Royale Bletson-Reed accepted Christ at the tender age of 10 while attending a youth revival at Bible Way COGIC, Everett WA, under the leadership of Superintendent Lee Young and the direction of Pastor Henry Jenkins (then Powerhouse COGIC, Seattle WA). At an early age, Missionary Reed became active in her local church including Sunshine Band, Sunday School, YPWW, a choir member and later a choir director. In June 2016, Missionary Reed received her Deaconess Missionary license during the 90th Annual Washington State Jurisdictional- Holy Convocation, under the leadership of Bishop Leo C. Brown and Women’s Supervisor, Mother Curly Davis. Two years later, she received her license to be an Evangelist Missionary. She currently serves as the Minister of Music at the Jubilee Church of God in Christ, Everett-WA, where Bishop Alvin C. Moore Sr. is the Pastor and Dr. Maria E. Moore is the First Lady. She also serves as an instructor for the Discipleship class which is a part of the Jubilee School of Ministry. While in District 8, Missionary Reed served as the Adjutant to then District 8 Missionary, Supervisor, Mother Rebekah Dennis and serves as Chairlady of the Missions Department for Washington State Jurisdiction.

DanVonique graduated from Marysville-Pilchuck High School in 1997 and then attended Everett Community College, where she received her Associate of Arts degree in 1999. In 2001, Sis. Reed received her bachelor’s degree in Society, Ethics and Human Behavior from the University of Washington. In 2004, she received her master’s degree in Adult Education and Distance Learning from the University of Phoenix.

Some of Missionary Reed’s other accomplishments include:

  • 1995 – Won 1st Place in the NAACP’s ACTSO (Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics) in the Performing Arts category in Oratory, Seattle-WA

· 1997 – Won 2nd Place in the NAACP’s ACTSO (Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics) in the Performing Arts category in Oratory, Seattle-WA

· 1998 - Student of the Year, Everett Community College

· 2000 – Youth Director, Baker Street Ministries, Everett-WA

· 2000-2001 - Student Representative, University of Washington

· 2021- Malcom X Community Awareness Award-Everett Community College

· 2023- NAACP-Snohomish County, Community Stewardship Award

Additional involvements include but are not limited to:

· Chair, Greater Everett Rev., Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Committee

· Event Coordinator, Nubian Jam Community Festival

· President, Snohomish County Black Heritage Committee

· Member, Snohomish County Health District Equity Advisory Board

· Member, Snohomish County Chapter of NAACP.

· Member, SEPAC (Snohomish Ebony Political Action Committee).

· Everett High School, Blue and Gold Advisory Committee.

In addition to working as a Social Worker for Snohomish County Human Services, Missionary Reed is the Executive Director of SONLITE Consultants, which is a personal development organization founded by her father, Elder Fredrick T. Bletson Jr. She is also the founder of SAVED (Soul-winning Agents promoting- inner Vison and Encouraging Divine Destines). SAVED provides support and companionship to aging adults who may be struggling with loneliness and isolation because of spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical health challenges.

DanVonique currently resides in Marysville WA. and is the proud mother of three beautiful children: Jeremy Lydell Reed (20), Jemyre Samuel Reed (19), and Jemyah D’Nique Reed (18).
